About Mike Rude
Mike Rude is a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, advocate, and the founder of The Rude Awakening Tour. After experiencing the long‑term effects of Mefloquine firsthand, Mike made the decision to speak out — not just for himself, but for the many veterans who were struggling in silence.
What started as a personal fight for answers quickly became a mission. Mike took his story on the road, traveling across Canada to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and give other veterans the courage to share their own experiences. His approach is direct, honest, and unapologetically real — because the consequences of Mefloquine demand nothing less.
Today, Mike continues to lead The Rude Awakening Tour as a voice for accountability and change. Through public speaking, advocacy, and the Rude Awakening Podcast, he remains committed to ensuring that veterans and their families are heard, supported, and never forgotten.
